Write a 300-word minimum, double-spaced paper on the topic of information systems. Within the paper, describe the basic concepts of information systems. Additionally, evaluate the role of information systems in supporting organizational goals and provide examples where appropriate. Feel free to use personal experiences with information systems as examples.

Introduction
Information system is defined as an integrated and co-ordinated network of component used to collect, store, and process data. Information system is made up of five key components namely hardware, software, network, database, and people. The five components integrate and together for the input process, output process, feedback, and control process.
Basic Components of Information Systems
Data is an important component of information systems. Data has to be entered into the system and through which it becomes easy to manage and process. Processed data becomes information which is then output to key users. Data often originates from different organizational departments as well as external data sources (Susanto). Accurate data makes work easier.
Secondly, people form an important part of information system. For data to get into the system people must create relevant information and key it into the system. Marketing staff collect marketing data and feed them into the system. As such, people must pose the right skills and training so that businesses can leverage from information systems.
