Linux has a wide range of uses, where it has been used in modern supercomputers, smart devices and in internet infrastructure components (Legay et al. 9). It is common among developers, indicating its ability to host different development capabilities. There are a number of Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Debian, Gentoo, Linux mint, Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CentOS Stream among many others, which have distinct strengths and weaknesses illustrating why users prefer one Linux distribution to the other.

Debian is among the popular Linux distributions that is readily available to many users. The main users that use Debian Linux distribution are common computer users due to its simple form.
