Multiculturalism and its Impacts to the Society
Paper Proposal
One of the goals of this class is to achieve a heightened degree of cross-cultural understanding. Thus, the final project for this class requires you to interview someone from a culture that is not your own and write about his or her relationship to, experience of or opinion about an issue in multiculturalism such as those discussed in this class. In week four, you must submit a 2-3 page paper proposal in which you identify (1) a debatable research question, (2) a specific person you plan to interview or have interviewed, and (3) at least three sources (including articles and/or films) assigned or recommended for this course or from other relevant scholarly publications that will help to answer your question. You must explain how you will use sources and interview material to answer your question, and how this will enrich scholarly understanding of a specific issue relevant to this course and American multiculturalism in general. This will probably require some reading ahead, and your grade will reflect the apparent viability of your project and how prepared you are to write the final paper.

Introduction
Multiculturalism is the acceptance and co-existence of diversified cultures under one jurisdiction. It is embedded in the ideology of respect and equity amongst ethnic groups. Additionally, these ideologies enhance the distinctiveness of different cultures while maintaining respect and inclusivity in the community. Multiculturalism has led to peace, especially in areas with different ethnic groups across the globe. However, some philosophers argue that multiculturalism has destroyed the beliefs associated with cultures (Erickson, 2010). Multiculturalism is not only presented in the community but also other segments. For example, in Argentina, the news is published in languages such as English, Germany among others.

What is the relationship between multiculturalism, people, government, and immigrants? What are the impacts of multiculturalism on society?
Background Information
I have consulted John Roberts, a specialist in anthropology studies at the University of Nevada. Moreover, have interviews, different ethnic groups across Nevada to assess the impacts of multiculturalism on society and its effects on the immigrants.
Research Review
Almost every country has experienced the analogy of diversified culture, which birth essential questions associated with multiculturalism (Gay, 2010c). Across Nevada, I have found it quite challenging to find a concrete answer on whether multiculturalism has effects or not. It all depends on which side of the fence the interviewee or consultant stands. For example, some Asian-American communities believe cultural diversity is the solution to racial segregation.
