Over the years, the word liberty and right have grown in popularity. However, despite this popularity, some people still do not understand it. Liberty is referred to as the situation where the person is within the society and is free from varying oppressive restrictions that could be imposed by the authority to affect the individual's or a group's behavior, way of life, or political views. In most instances, the individuals are given liberty to continue life freely despite being different.
The general environment regarding liberty was that even though individuals had liberty to a certain degree, there were many instances where they did not have it. For example, people of color were being discriminated against because of their color.
