Paul’s Leadership Principles according to II Timothy 2:1-7
In this chapter, Paul is trying to set forth the significance of defending and proclaiming the great grace gospel of God for immortality and life in Christ. Additionally, Paul tells timothy to be strong within the grace of Jesus Christ. According to the reading, if Timothy fails to muster the strength, suffer hardship, ignore the everyday’s affairs and compete like an athlete within the set rules, then he will lose his salvation and be forever damned. Similarly, the reading encourages leaders to work hard in the same way a farmer does. When we identify that when Paul asserts that God will grant Timothy proper understanding in everything, Paul is not discussing about the understanding of Timothy of something such as quantum physics. Paul is not implying that the Lord will offer Timothy an understanding towards the refractive index readings of the different crystal groups.
