Does God Exist?

Different people have different perceptions about who God is, as determined by their personal beleifs. Theists perceive him as the creator and sustainer of the universe, while according to deism, God is the creator but not sustainer of the universe. Christians have a doctrine that believes that God coexists in three forms, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. While some people believe in his existence, others dispute that he exists. The orderliness of the universe points to the existence of a supreme being responsible for all these formations. Therefore, God exists.
Existence refers to a state of living or having an objective reality. The arguments about the existence of God is based on reason. Our existence in the universe is guided by reason as we have to consciously apply logic to seek truth and draw conclusions from the available information. The aspect of reason is meant to save people from exploitation out of ignorance. Making decisions on something that one does not understand can be quite challenging. It is, therefore, important to apply reason to all aspects of our lives. As Thomas Jefferson states, "Question with boldness even the existence of God; because if there be one, He must approve the homage of Reason rather than that of blindfolded Fear.” Therefore, people need to know whether they are worshing an existing being or are being duped for selfish gains.
