Students with poor studying and health habits, poor sleep habits, unhealthy diets, poor stress management, and students who fail to engage in exercise are likely to experience test anxiety. Also, students with poor body relaxation strategies experience test anxiety. Students can relax through various activities such as deep breathing, mindfulness meditation, and progressive muscle relaxation. The primary cause of test anxiety is cognition. Students should understand that their opinions are correct whether they believe something is right or wrong since their thoughts determine their outcomes (Academic Success Guru). A different result in life requires a change in individuals’ thoughts. A change in common test beliefs among students helps to overcome test anxietie since self-talks among students increase the pressure that leads to test anxiety.
