Careful and strategic use of language is crucial for raising awareness, not only for the specific discourse community but also for the ‘laymen.’ With the help of different techniques to pique the audience’s attention, scholars, practitioners, and commentators alike could raise enough awareness to help convert theory into action. Similar to the ideas of John Trimbur about the identification and labeling of current trends as a means to arouse interest, I believe that the present awareness on psychological or mental health issues by a relevant number of the population is brought about by the same circumstances.
