According to Elisabeth Kubler Ross, there are five stages of grieving and mourning. The first stage is denial which is a response to the news, shock, and extreme pain of losing the loved one. Second is anger which is the body's reaction toward pain. Individuals tend to be angry at God, the deceased, or anything that reminds them of the loss.
