Marques writes about the situation and places where she speaks Spanish in public (Marquez, pg. 445). She gives reasons why she and her parents speak Spanish and goes ahead to explain why. She also shows circumstances where she cannot speak Spanish in public.
Marques follows the logical order of presentation by giving specific effects then particular causes (Marquez, pg.446). The narration presented by Marques logical and understandable by anyone reading it. Despite giving the effects first, she later narrated the causes giving the reader a clear view of her perspective.
