AmeriCorps is an organization serving older people in the United States, my region included. Their mission is to provide services where intensive care is a priority, health of the public, and preservation of the environment (AmeriCorps, n.d). Older adults are often neglected, leading to their deteriorating life in society. This prompted AmeriCorps to come up with programs to solve their problems to keep them happy. By doing so, they strengthen communities while giving much-needed care for the people.
The site uses volunteers in every sector, assigns them tasks according to their experiences, and follows up to ensure their objectives are met. Since they serve people everywhere in the United States, they do not restrict where their volunteers come from.
