Time heals all wounds
Life does not always turn out the way we dreamed it would, in fact, it rarely does. So next time a person feels hopeless, all they have to remember is that time heals all wounds, and with time, things will change and become better. In essence, all aspects of life are temporary, and when things seem either right or wrong, one has to remember that they will not always be like that. In the life of a human being, we sometimes suffer from physical wounds, which heal with the passing of time. Our human nature leads us to develop connections with other people. However, at times, these relationships break and we experience emotional wounds. Time tends to help in the healing of these emotional wounds, albeit more slowly than physical wounds. However, in both physical and emotional wounds, the scars left never quite heal and are always there to serve as a reminder.
In cases where our emotional associations are broken, trust is often lost and in such situations, it is challenging to put the pieces back together. While it may not be possible to totally cut links with the people responsible for our emotional wounds, the particular incident that led to the collapse of the relationship is always at the back of our minds. Consequently, to forgive completely, it is important that we realize that human beings by nature are sometimes prone to make mistakes. Therefore, anyone who is a friend deserves more than one chance to prove him or herself and cannot be judged entirely on the merit of one incident. As such, it is important that we are not quick to dismiss people, but instead, we should let time decide what happens. If we were all to stop and think for a moment, we would realize that we have all made mistakes, and will continue to make mistakes as time passes. However, it is interesting how quickly we all forget about the mistakes we have done, but are always ready to criticize other people when they make mistakes. We need to be accommodating and forgiving of other peoples' mistakes. If we learn to do this, other people around us will reciprocate equivalently and consequently, and time will heal whatever mistakes we have done.
