The speech by Tyler Perry during the BET 2019 awards is an excellent presentation of motivation. Perry gives a great speech that would encourage anyone listening to the words to work harder to achieve their anticipated goals and objectives. He is a powerful actor that uses his charisma to attract the audience's attention to concentrate on listening to him. Although the audience seems to like Perry as revealed by their reaction of appreciating him while coming forth to the stage, he does not assume their engagement and tries to give a captivating speech. Knowing the theme of the occasion in presenting awards, he takes a bold step to tell the audience of his past; including his relationship with his mother and its impact on the accolade he just received. Obviously, the community wants to learn from successful people, and leaving the bit of his path towards where he is at the time of receiving the award would turn down the audience's expectation. Hence, his speech achieves the theme in question, and everyone in the audience seems to appreciate every bit of the presentation. The continuous applause reveals the connection between the speaker and the audience during the speech.
The message in the speech empowers not only the audience but also viewers to get into the action of what they want to achieve.
