This paper is for my W-270 argumentative writing class. It is an argumentative essay about social media and the stance that i am taking is that social media is not what its cracked up to be. It needs to be 6 full pages. As you may know there needs to be a 7th page which is the works cited page. There needs to be at least one paragraph that states the opposing viewpoint.
I am attaching my organizational plan to this order just so you have an idea of what route i was wanting to take, but you don't have to use it if you don't want to. Social media are the technologies facilitated by computers that enable in the establishment and sharing of ideas, information, and job welfares through computer-related environment and systems of the network. According to Leung, et al. the diversity of separate and inbuilt social media services presently existing presents challenges of definition; but, there are some standard features as follows: Social media simplify the improvement of virtual social networks by linking profiles of users with those of other people. The users of social media build service-particular profiles for the website that are designed and preserved by the social media group (Sugimoto et al.).
Customers usually access social media services through web-established equipment on laptops and desktop computers. The users can also download the services that give the functionality of social media to their mobile devices. While using these services, operators can create communicating podiums through which people, societies, and business establishments can share, deliberate issues, and amend user-produced content.
Therefore, social media runs our lives in several ways, which is scary to think. Social media appears not to be hurtful but what users do not recognize is that social media can negatively affect their way of living. Social media can become an addiction, damage individuals' mental health, offer wrong information, invade users' personal lives, and affect the users' probabilities of getting jobs. Social media might have many disadvantages, but it is useful to particular people in many ways as follows:
Public Problem Resolution
When a business solves a concern for a client, and the issue becomes beneficial for other consumers, the firm easily mass-informs the customers through social media. In addition to that, other clients will see that the organization takes its customer care seriously.

Social Media is Addictive
Whether we believe it or not the use of social media is possibly addictive, and this is one of the ways that it affects our mental health. It might be reasonable to speak precisely of ‘Facebook Addiction Disorder' because the addiction method, such as desertion of personal life, escapism, psychological preoccupation, and hiding the addictive actions, seem to be existing in some individuals who use social networks overly (Moorhead et al.).
