Jhumpa Lahiri's “Interpreter of Maladies” is a book that envelops some subtle magic which every reader would enjoy reading. This book is perfectly-titled and is a collection of nine Indian-American short stories (Lahiri, 2000). The ages and experiences of the characters range from kids to married people to aged people. The author relates the experience of an Indian immigrant by connecting the different tales. The author shares the sad feeling of being many miles away from a family but offers some hope.
