Preferential Hiring
There three main means of preferential treatment when it comes to hiring. These could considered as violating the elements of equality and ethical aspects, however, they are crucial. One of the preferential treatment approach is where, there two candidates that are equally qualified for a position and the criteria that is used to break the tie, is that one of the candidate has been previously disadvantaged. This is to mean that, in the past the candidate or those in their race have been racially discriminated. As such, this previous incidences of discrimination are taken as the qualifying factor.
In the second treatment is different from the first as it involves identifying the candidates that have been disadvantaged before and offering them the chance. This means that, other candidates that are more qualified are not considered especially where they are white. As such, this is different from the first given that, the more qualified candidate is not even considered in the selection.
