Memorable
One memorable thing from the reading by Pierpont (2017) is that Blacks were often involved in entertainment like singing and forming music bands, and their performance was lovely since most locations that hosted them often ran out of space. I was impressed that most musicians at the time relied on the musical approaches from New Orleans. Additionally, the audience in clubs and other establishments was comprised of whites while the blacks are involved as performers.
