The most important thing to remember from the reading is that there is a constant conflict on whether it matters if music is made via real instrument by the musician or a machine or if the musician is also the writer of the song or not (Nast). Some people consider musicians who play instruments as more authentic, even though many artists prove that this is not always the case. Popular genres like electronica, dance, and hip hop rely on music generated via computer programming and are just as good as rock, whereby musicians often play real instruments. The musician does not always have to write, and as long as they have the right soundtrack and script, then they can produce good songs.

I agree with the reading that musicians do not always have to write their songs. Songwriters tend to make better songs with the words used, and the singers are only following a script (Nast). This makes the work much easier for them since the songwriter can get the best content for the scripts while the musician only has to rely on their popularity to make the song a hit. I agree since some individual can be outstanding singers back lack the creativity to be a writer as well. It might also be hard for some songwriters to be great singers. Good songs depend on a combination of the words and how they are presented.
