How To Cook a Turkey
The conventional turkey recipe is perhaps the easiest to cook. Below are the ingredients:
1 whole turkey
1 tablespoon butter
Onions – ¼ cup, chopped
Celery – 1 cup, chopped
Thyme – 1 teaspoon
Rosemary – ½ teaspoon
Salt and pepper – to taste
The first step is to thaw the turkey – if it is frozen. This would mean submerge it in cold water for about 3 hours, changing the water every 30 minutes. Once the turkey is soft remove any neck that was stuffed inside it from both ends and wash it in cold water – making sure to cleanse it as much as possible. Now would be a good time to turn on the oven preferably around 325 F.
The next step is preparing the seasoning for stuffing the turkey. The simplest approach is to toss up onions, Celery, Thyme, Rosemary and season with salt and pepper.
