First, it has led to mushrooming of so many literary authors (Skultety, 18). As the novel travelled around the world, it sparked numerous writers to put their pen to the paper. The great success of the novel provided other writers around the world with the motivation they needed to produce their own works. Secondly, the novel has brought laughter to many parts of the world. There are numerous places around the world where action plays and comedies have been made using the novel as the basis. Through so doing, many people around the world became entertained.

The novel is still a significant part of literary works that are still being studied in universities and other learning institutions around the world. It helps learners have a glimpse of what the Chinese culture was like in ancient times.
