Celebrity Privacy
Privacy is part of the harmonious existence of human beings across the globe. Every human being has a private life that should be respected by any other individual. This has not been the case since the privacy of many celebrities has been broken by people who need to know more about their private lives (Kökciyan 23). I agree with the argument of celebrities who are “fighting back” to protect their privacy. This paper will analyze, giving an example in the recent and historical happenings where paparazzi have intentionally crossed the boundaries of privacy of celebrities, causing severe damages or injuries to the celebrities.
Although celebrities should not fully expect their daily lives to be newsworthy, they have a right to privacy. Every individual or paparazzi should respect this as the constitution has established a clause that protects the privacy of every citizen. The question of how far or ‘far’ should be considered. (Blank 13) There is no question of how far concerning privacy. So long as the celebrity does not authorize a paparazzi to expose her information or pictures and photos, he or she should not carry out the feat. In many circumstances whereby the celebrities have sued paparazzi for interfering with their privacy, the paparazzi were not authorized to expose or take the photos in the case (Kökciyan 23). These celebrities are fighting back for privacy since the practice of paparazzi taking a secret picture to market their newspapers or blogs. It is tantamount to a violation of basic needs.
