However, if we get too much food, then our bodies give wrong instructions like we become undernourished, overweight and we are at the risk of other development diseases like diabetes, heart diseases, and arthritis. In short, people mainly eat for their health. The nutrients found in food enable our bodies to perform their functions. Nutrients are very important for physical functioning. They are also essential for growth, maintenance of the body and its development. According to the United States Bureau of Labor, people spend 90 minutes every day on food. This includes grocery shopping, preparation, consumptions and doing dishes (Reichl, 150).
