The important ethical problem, in this case, is if an individual has committed a crime if they let their robots buy illegal products in the market. To develop a solution, the robot designer should take responsibility for the robot's actions. Instead, they recklessly released the bot to the dark market to purchase whatever it wanted, whether legal or illegal. Thus, it can be argued they were ready for the outcome, whether positive or negative, and they should take responsibility for their actions. In addition, they could have regulated the bot's action to what was only legal but did not. Thus, allowing the bot to buy illegal products in the market, they had committed a crime themselves. In addition, leaving the bot unmonitored could also be argued they were expecting adverse outcomes to drive traffic on the dark...
