Society has to redefine the rules of conduct in the digital world in the face of virtual interactions taking the place of personal and professional spheres. Two texts with respect to this complexity are Rocio Celeste Mejia Avila's 'Cyberloafing: Distraction or Motivation?' and Bill Burnkrant's 'In Defense of Cyberloafing… [Mejia Avila; Weiss.] "Should Gamers Be Prosecuted for Virtual Stealing?" These articles discuss the intricate balancing act between permissible behavior in terms of digital life and what is considered unprofessional or even counterproductive.
