Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words: Fairy tales and folklore are rich in tradition and can help to highlight various historical and cultural points of the societies that created them. Additionally, fairy tales can help children to learn about the real world by learning about problems and solutions. Identifying with a literary hero can help children to cope with real-world issues as well as teaching them empathy and compassion.  • After having read the materials for the week, why do you think some fairy tales are timeless and others are not? What makes some stand up to the test of time better than others? Use examples.  • Are fairy tales only stories for children? Is the content juvenile? Why or why not? Use examples.  • What purpose do illustrations serve in fairy tales? Would the stories have the same value and impact without them? Why or why not?
