Workers are treated as instruments and not human beings. People can only survive in this kind of system by selling their labor power. Further, Klein defines capitalism as “consumption for the sake of consumption.” Klein also claims that the economy is at war with many forms of life on earth including human life. The administration has also brought the growth of more predatory capitalism that has shuttered citizens and the natural environment disposable. While the main agenda of Former President Obama was to reduce carbon emissions in the United States through the use of renewable energy, President Trump has sought to increase the use of fossil fuel. Trump has also scrapped a lot of environmental regulations especially those that deal with clean air regulations. Air pollution has increased in the United States and a lot of people have died as a result. Environmental destructions have caused climate change.
