In this article, the story is about a grandmother who was on a tour in East Tennessee, with her only boy Bailey, and two of her grandchildren, Wesley and June star. Though she was a single mother, she never got a chance to marry in her entire life, as good men were “hard to find” (Barnet, p187). Here, she talks about the fleeing of one man by the nickname “Misfit” in prison, and his criminal ventures in the land. By looking at the state of things today, the grandmother claims that indeed, men have changed in character and behavior unlike the status when she was young. “During my time, people were of good morals” (Barnet, p185). Since people have actually perverted their characters, and no longer care about their moral jurisdictions, then it is indeed true that good men are rare in today’s perspective.
