There is no specific definition of BioArt from previous work citations. This makes Robert Mitchell to be confused on which proper definition to use when defining BioArt. Robert says BioArt has been used to describe various studies of art, such as transgenic art and genetic art. Generally, from previous works, there is no particular reference for BioArt.
There are many studies done by different professionals, in which their work refers to BioArt. For example, Alexis Rockman depicts the use of genetic engineering as art used to modify consumer farm products that are friendly to humans. Alexis draws a colorful picture containing farm products that have been improved by genetic engineering. On the diagram, there are modified tomatoes for easy transport and a modified chicken to modify extra wings." Still, as one moves to the right, the plants and animals seem to have been genetically modified to increase their exchange value.
