Over the years, there has been a discussion regarding whether life without parole should be embraced for juveniles who have not committed murder. Even though some people oppose this action, others support it. One of the arguments that the individuals supporting this move have highlighted is that a crime is a crime despite the age at which the person committed the crime. For instance, some people highlight that just because the child commits a crime does not mean the victim did not suffer. They highlight that even children should have the same punishment that adults could have undertaken. The other argument highlights that if juveniles get away with committing crimes, they do not learn to take responsibility for their actions. They, therefore, advocate for life without parole since it would help everyone be responsible for their actions, making society safer by reducing the number of crimes.
