Western in the 20th Century
There are various events in western cultures in the 20th Century in literature. The first battle in 1914 is one of these major occurrences. The World Wars fueled conflict among countries and contributed to the invention of nuclear weapons, and the Cold War lead to space-based missiles and the establishment of the World Wide Web. By 1914, national states were guided by explosive nationalism, not responding to higher powers, and were organized into partnerships that were constantly increasingly hostile. The nationalist passions have tainted diplomatic affairs with the mass press and expansionists' communities (Spielvogel 485). Pseudoscientific ethnic and social Darwin theories propagated by nationalist theorists glorified conflict and justified the subjugation of other peoples. State men have lost sight in Europe as a group of nations sharing a shared civilization committed to building national strength. Their ideologies of action increasingly motivated young people who mocked liberal, patriarchal ideals and considered war to be a refining and uplifting experience (Spielvogel 405). The Holocaust is another key case. Germans fought an assassination battle against the Jews of Europe. In the immediately following World War II, the name 'genocide" was adopted because the Nazi government had to describe the most horrific crime, to name but a word, the organized, state-run killing of European Jews (Spielvogel 406). This term itself means the slaughter of the population.
The Second World War was historically the most violent. This has been in record since the time it happened and has affected differenr people and its impacts has been in public record. The absolute war fought by the fighters even included the victims of reprisals. The Second War caused a huge exodus of cultures unprecedented in the recent history of Europe (Spielvogel 494). The Soviet Union annexed Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia to the Baltic countries, forcefully transferring many indigenous people to Central Russia. Poland took up the bulk of East Prussia, with Russia joining the northeast portion. Millions of Germans fled from occupying Russians who committed various massacres until the Soviet authorities ended the collapse in retaliation for the suffering caused on their kin and country by...
