Planning – initial thoughts/plans concerning your project or paper
First, I thought the two films would simply delve into historical facts. Often, films and documentaries take a factual point of view where they simply reiterate what has been said, rewritten, or captured.
Second, I thought I was only supposed to focus on the events happening in the films. The events of a film help reveal the themes that directors are exploring in a film. So, I knew that by strictly following the proceedings of the films, I ought to have been able to deliver the paper as required.
My idea of analysis was also different. I thought that all I needed to do was to assess what was happening in the film in relation to the theme under study.
