Abraham Lincoln is considered as the greatest president to have ever stepped in the famous White House. The man did everything within his power to make sure history will find him blameless. He made sure that the United States will continue to soar and that it will stand by principles that will place it on a pedestal compared to other countries at the time and even later after he was gone. However, before Lincoln became president, he had suffered defeat in many aspects of his life including political life. He had tried a lot of things but nothing seemed to work for him. Life seemed to be closing in on him but his determination never wavered but continued to try and work hard until eventually he found himself in the White House.
However, before he became president, Abraham Lincoln was first a failure as a businessman. It is widely known that Lincoln had tried to succeed in business but he failed miserably. His life experienced a series of losses which should have forced him to quit and focus on other things but he kept going. He also tried life as a lawyer and this did not work out well for him as well. Lincoln then decided to go into politics. As is always the case for many new entrants in politics, Lincoln tried his luck in the legislature. However, he suffered defeat here as well and also suffered another defeat in his attempt to get nominated in Congress.
