The Cold War was one of the significant events in Western (if not the World’s) history because of its perceived threats and effects to everyone. On the one hand, the Cold War propelled the World into its current-day technological momentum as both the US and the USSR have tried to outpace one another towards technological supremacy. On the other hand, it has also created lingering anxiety upon every one of a Mutually-Assured Destruction (MAD) that was lurking just beyond the corner.
