The Dutch still life paintings of the 17th century inspired other artists in northern Europe and is linked to bioart where the paintings show different aspects of nature and unify landscapes. Bioart is artistic practice that brings together art and science in the creation of works of art including the link between the problematic of biotechnology and the works of art (Mitchell 35).
