Reflection on Five Themes of Strength
Overview:
Understanding and developing our strengths helps to figure out where we fit in. Students will read Discover Your Clifton Strengths and take the StrengthsFinder 2.0 assessment. After taking the StrengthsFinder Assessment, students will read over the feedback that is provided on their five dominant themes.

How To Complete:
Take the CliftonStrengths Assessment (this will take about 30 minutes to complete)
Download the two reports and read over the feedback provided:

For each of your 5 Themes of Strength describe a scenario where you can recall demonstrating that strength in one of the ways described in your feedback.
Example: if Adaptability is one of your strengths, you may reflect:
Adaptability Feedback: "During times when the pressure is on, you help your colleagues find productive ways to relieve stress and therefore make progress. You can be the spark that "unfreezes" them."
Reflection: I believe that things will always work out in the end, that belief helps be to get through stressful situations. I have learned to coach others to think that way too, and this helps them to move beyond the stress and take positive action. I need to do this almost everyday with my students!
Submission:
In a Microsoft Word document, students will type their reflection for each of their 5 Themes of Strength. Make sure to include the feedback and reflection for each theme.

Clifton's Strengths
1 Communication
1 Feedback: People exceptionally talented in the Communication theme generally find it easy to put their thoughts into words. They are good conversationalists and presenters.
2 Reflection: I have always been the kind of person who believes in open and honest communication. Ever since when I was in high school, I like talking to individuals and telling them what I think about the matter. When it comes to group projects, I am also the person who believes that timely communication is best to improve productivity and reduce any wastage of resources, energy, or effort. This is because of my idea that regular feedback can help improve any mistakes as early as possible.
2 Intellection:
3 Feedback: People exceptionally talented in the Intellection theme are characterized by their intellectual activity. They are introspective and appreciate philosophical discussions.
4 Reflection: I have always enjoyed and cherished the idea of reflection. Whether in my studies or in my personal life, I have always contemplated the meaning and usage of the circumstances/things around me. There are even times when I would just reflect on random objects and relate them to my everyday life observation. Although it can be tiring at times, I realized that it is also advantageous in my daily life. At times, my love for thinking and thoughtful discussion with others has led to beautiful ideas (i.e., product ideas) that I can pursue in the future.
3 Restorative:
5 Feedback: People exceptionally talented in the Restorative theme are adept at dealing with problems. They are good at figuring out what is wrong and resolving it.
