The Steps of Transcription
In general, the process of transcription is to make a DNA strand into RNA. This process involved three different stages. This process starts with initiation, wherein an enzyme called the RNA polymerase would attach itself to the DNA region, which is known as the promoter. This attachment signals the unwinding of the DNA. This unwinding will allow the enzyme to read the nucleotide bases of the DNA strand to start the making of a new mRNA strand finally (LumenLearning.com).
