Introduction
Pharrell Lascilo Williams is an American rapper, record producer and singer born on April 5, 1973, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He formed the R&B and hip-hop production called the Neptunes with his childhood friend Chad Hugo, and he has used this label to produce many songs since the early 1990s. He later co-founded the NERD with Hugo and Shay Haley. His activism and advocacy in philanthropy and music education have made him a pioneer for social change and inspire the masses. Pharrell Williams is among this century's most successful and influential music producers.
