Bull-leaping is a form of non-violent bullfighting on an ancient ritual involving a man leaping over the back of a bull. In the picture, the bull is the largest figure, and this makes it a prominent character in the fresco. The bull also occupies most of the space on the ground. This captures the attention of the viewer towards the middle part, where a man is painted leaping over the bull.
