Introduction

Cross-cultural management is a critical issue for modern business because enhanced diversity and globalization promotes it to adopt for organizational well-being (Bird and Mendenhall, 2016). Similarly, in the Tanzania case, the management faces severe challenges in dealing with the cross-cultural practices in the African region. Consequently, the team except Jones are not aware of Tanzania's cultural, organizational, and ethical practices. In this manner, Steinberg confused to evaluate an individual to lead the dam construction effectively by managing all the issues identified. Therefore, the group project is worthy for HG to understand each theory and problem regarding cross-cultural management. Henceforth, implement it effectively with Jones or any other individuals to gain maximum output from the Tanzania project. The paper reflects the overall podcast that in what way the group distributes task, analyse the problem in the respective case, evaluates theories about cross-cultural management and related recommendations. It further highlights the learning and significance of doing a particular project.

Distribution of Tasks

After teaching the cross-cultural practices and theories, the teacher aligned us in groups and provided with cases that focus on cultural challenges for a firm, which a group needs to assess and resolve expressively. Initially, I take group lead and divide tasks as per individual skills and abilities in a group. Hence, I take the responsibility to highlight Tanzania's cultural challenges because of my expertise in analytical skills. On the other side, the individual is good with writing skills is responsible for a podcast and writing a report on the podcast. The third member is good in research skills, which supports us in evaluating the cross-cultural theories related to the identified issues. Further, the fourth member concentrates on ethical concerns and HRM policies of a firm to correlate with the cultural dealing of that region. The other group member supports each member in the group to manage the work properly on time. Along with it, each member needs to reflect a problem in the case to be effective in understanding case studies for the future. After the distribution of task, each member involves in understanding the case and identifies relative problems together.

Problem Identification

From the understanding of the case, it analyses that HG deals with appalling challenges in Tanzania in identifying the best solutions to maintain the association between the organizational cultural and ethical values with international culture. According to Steinberg, the lead to construct dams should be responsible for overviewing accounting procedures, hiring employees, helping foreign personnel to be comfortable, securing immigration, the formation of local connections, and training cultural values effectively to magnify the project’s outcomes. On the contrary, the Tanzanian culture is distinct from the US culture abundantly in terms of ethical values, HRM practices, organizational structural changes, organizational values, motivational factors, and international culture, etc. Therefore, implicating the similar practices of the US firm in Tanzania’s culture creates substantial disruption in the formation of the dam. Correspondingly, all group members identify each problem from the case to work on it significantly for proposing meaningful recommendations to improve the success parameters of the project.
