Patel Company provides a reliable and excellent performance to the clients in the production of its efficient Material Handling Equipment which enables it to be recognized world wide. More of Patel’s core values are designed to cater for the integrity, imagination, respect to other individuals, passion and the innovation.
The management sector and its personnel are comprised of well equipped technological, efficient and sound professional. This enables it to achieve its vision with ease and making it to be more competitive in the economy. The Company is involved in the manufacture of various material handling equipment which includes among others; electric pallet truck, hydraulic hand pallet truck, hydraulic manual stacker, Fully electric stacker, semi electric stacker, counter balance stacker, lift tables, drum lifters, steel pallets , storage systems among others. The company enjoys the ever strong performance of its equipments in the economy. Moreover, it has designed its equipments in that it minimizes the time lost on breakups in which the manufacturing Companies that use these equipments cannot afford to loose. It is also easy to dismantle the equipments when there is need for repairing or re-servicing them.
The Company is well known for its commitment and therefore quality and timely services are provided to the consumers. The main department which is in the forefront in ensuring that the Company makes a major step in its operations is the Research and Development department. Here, the various professionals scan the market for any inherent changes which might be beneficial to the Company at large and then puts it into practice. It ensures that major initiatives taking place in the economy are put into consideration and therefore the `success of the company is guaranteed.
Over the past years, the Company has offered various services to various industries in the economy thus have tremendously increased its market share. The well recognition of their hydraulic equipments worldwide has encouraged the maintenance of the present market share in the economy and also the provision of a well secured future market.
The Company has recently been involved in the manufacture of the hydraulic homogenizer which is in the class of the compositing machinery. These products are offered with more attractive packaging service in order to ensure that the products are delivered to the consumers in the quality, shape and form in which they were ordered. The Products manufactured by the Company are highly in need by various industries in the economy. Its major products in this category include among others; cement chemical, steel, glass, pipe, construction, and warehouses. Many Industries prefers the Company’s products as they are of high quality, reliable and long lasting as in the case of products like glass, pipes etc.
Consequently, in the design sector its in-house is fully packed with the current CAD/CAM devices and the Pro Engineers who are well endowed with the design professionalism. This enables the robust design in its material handling equipments which are attractive and suitable to the consumers. The department is also issued with the authority of analysing the authenticity of the quality of various raw materials and products which are produced in the Company. They ensure that consumers are dispatched with exactly the quality and quantity of products they ordered for.

PROJECT DEFINITION
A project, in the contemporary world, is defined as complex, non-routine, set of activities undertaken by an individual or group with a purpose of producing defined result with a set commencement and end in an to an agreed scope, time, cost and quality. This is an extensive task which requires and individuals, Company’s’ or organizations resources. For the project undertaken to be completed in time then the institution undertaking it should be able to incur utmost a considerable cost.
The main intent of a project is to ensure that the consumers’ requirements and needs are met in a timely manner and this goes along way in the organization achieving its strategic objectives and goals implemented.
Under this consideration, Patel Company is initiating various projects in its material handling equipments production. The major focus is on the Hydraulic pallet lift project. This project is aimed at being completed by the company in the stipulated time and budget stated. This will go along way in ensuring that the Company provides the consumers with safer, compatible and making work easier for the Company.
The Company’s initiation of this project has been facilitated by the need of the consumers in the economy to load and off-load materials and goods with ease. The hydraulic lift pallet has been identified by Patel Company as the major project to ease the problem of loading and off-loading heavy materials and to access them with eases where need be.

Hydraulic Pallet Truck
Under these credentials, the management of Patel Company has decided to indulge in the manufacture of Hydraulic Pallet Truck. The Company has started to work on its work schedule with timely deadline and the risks and various costs that may accrue in the course of undertaking its projects. The various costs to be incurred include designing, planning, testing, fabrication and marketing of its products.
Patel Company management considers the major factors which should be considered in the coming up with the Projects budget and work schedule; Man power, machinery, money and materials. The Company is considering a labour force of approximately 45 to 50 personnel who will entirely supervise the various undertakings in achieving the projects objectives. The Machinery to be used during the whole process is lathe machine, welding machine, milling machine, CNC, CAD/CAM software and also the CNC EDM machine. In the case of the cost to be incurred, it is approximated to be about 60,000/- which will cater for all the expenses to be incurred. Finally, the materials to be used are the smooth nylon wheels and the handle-2 stage fingertip lever. All these are needed by the Company in order to ensure that the Company turns the project into development and manufacturing and reality.
The stakeholders and their perspective
As the stakeholders’ main objective is to provide funds and take part in the major decisions involving the Company, the project initiative is also a preference in this case. Their decisions have an impact on the projects’ execution, performance and its completion. As the Company’s project is highly involving in terms of resources and especially funds, shareholders have an upper hand in providing for the funds for the completion of the project.
