My Future Individual Reflection And Plan
Introduction
Human skills are very important in business performance. Most leaders appreciate the role that humans play as consumers and developers of innovation. Companies do well because of the human skills and capabilities. These skills determine the outcome of a given business. Human imagination and creativity influence the productivity of organizations. The capabilities of humans depend on each other and can always be improved. Companies need human capabilities to manage daily pressure. Most of these companies depend on lasting relationships and interactions. Companies perform well when workers have different capabilities. This paper states the main argument of the article and explains how I will use the lessons I have learned in future.
The article's core argument
This article summarizes how human capabilities is important for better business performance. The authors define human capability as the values that every person has (Hagel et al. 2020). These capabilities bring out better outcomes in business organizations. The authors state that organizations need human capability and technology. This article states that human capabilities reduce immediate and long-term pressure in organizations. Companies should find ways of using people and technology when the market trends continue to grow. This is because humans add value to these organizations. The courage and curiosity of humans are very important for businesses. Such capabilities help organizations to identify opportunities and challenges in the market.
Agree/ Disagree with the article
I agree with the argument of this article. I believe that companies should not only depend on technology for better profits. People help companies to identify opportunities and reduce threats (Bhaskarabhatla et al. 2017). I learned that people cause a huge difference in businesses. People also help to innovate in companies. The growing market trends need people who can match the trends in the market. People should have talents and be good in what they are doing. The lesson in class was that employers should look at how they hire people. Organizations should choose those who have innovative skills and capabilities.
The lesson from this lecture was that companies should look at people with organizational capabilities. I also believe that businesses should have a strategy. They should identify a plan that works well for them. People should be placed in work groups to enable them to perform various tasks with unique abilities. The performance of companies depends on these unique strengths. From what I learned, workers should know how their role would benefit the business. They should know how to use their skills after being hired. Workers should know how their skills helps the company. This lecture speaks of the same thing as the article. I believe that human capabilities are important in business organizations. Unique skills are good for innovation and consumer satisfaction.
Workers should also know the roles they are playing in organizations. The lesson is that organization cannot make a huge impact when there are no human capabilities (Hagel et al. 2020). Market trends bring a lot of pressure in organizations. However, human capabilities add value and identify opportunities for development. There should be unique strengths and experiences at workplaces because most technology depend on human abilities. I have realized that organizations should use human capabilities and skills to add value.
How the article supports what I learned
This article supports the lessons I gathered from my lectures. The article agrees that every business needs a business strategy and skills. Human capital is associated with value creation in companies (Prajogo & Oke 2016). Competitive environments affect business performance. Therefore, organizations should find strategies for enhancing businesses performance. They should identify the skills that the organization needs. Business managers should look at the market and know what their consumers prefer. An organization should know the problems that affect it and the size of their market. The article points out skills like empathy and relational abilities. These are similar to the ones I had learned. I learned that workers should be able to adapt and tolerate. I believe that these qualities should be part of every organization.
How this helps in my plan for the future
The lessons I have found in this article have taught me how to add value in an organization. For example, this article has taught me about the role of the manager in an organization. I have realized that managers should create a work environment where their employees can grow their capabilities. Managers should coach their staff and motivate them (Robescu & Iancu 2016). Managers also identify obstacles and remove them. The article shows me how I could use empathy in when there are work conflicts. I also learned that a manager has to make sure workers are confident and creative. I would use this knowledge in future when I am in charge of a group of workers. The article helps me realize the importance of qualities such as cour...
