The quest for a better life has been happening since the beginning of time, as humanity wants more than it currently has. Human desire has no end, and in some cases, this is beneficial for humanity as it fuels curiosity and motivation to discover new things. With discoveries, people's lives have become better and better. However, despite this improvement in human life, humanity continues to seek further out into the world that humanity currently lives in. Many existential crises have happened in the course of humanity, but they have survived because of the natural human urge to do something and protect their species (Laski, 1969).
The question of whether humanity should focus its goal on reducing the risk of human extinction or on improving the future where humanity survives for long is mind-provoking.
