Technology has come and every nation it`s trying it`s best to embrace it. We are living in a world that original things emerge everyday and everyone is doing the best to cope with it in order not to be outdated. The excellent elevation of it is that it has brought change to the way of doing things and on the other hand it has helped in making a world to a single nation and internet has contributed this and here we come to be the fundamental of Google and what it has contributed towards technology and the world. This paper also seeks to look at Google attempt to buy into wireless, how it supported this move, what was the main aim in trying to buy into wireless, whether they supported this move among other questions.
In every discussion that computer is been mention, the probability of mentioning Google is 80% since it`s known by everyone whether old or young. It is believed that Google has shaped very striking milestones of it`s time and at the same time it has continued to grow swiftly every single day. Though Google is not as knew as people think, it started back in the year 1996 when the pioneers Larry and Sergey meet in Stanford and it this time, Larry was 22 while Sergey was 21 and both of them computer science graduates started their work by developing a search engine which was known as BackRub. The search engine was used by Stanford servers for a year and they noticed that it was working perfectly and from there they renamed the search engine to Google in the year 1997.
The initiative to Google making a move to wireless is that everyone starting from mobile operators, public companies to Google has seen the spectrum as a golden opportunity to lengthen the mobile broadband services the reason to why Google is making the move into wireless through the 700 Mhz range auction (Schilling, 2008).. The reason to why Google took particular interest in the C Block auction is because the giant search engine wants to get into the wireless application business.
Google Company has promised that Android which is its biggest company will get off the ground by the end of the year. It is also considered that the company participated in the FCC`s 700 MHz C Block contest and the reason was not because it expected to win, but its main goal was to boost the bidding so that it would outshine the commission`s minimal reserve price of $4.6 billion. On the other hand, Google demand could be simple since the commission since they (the search giants) told the FCC that the commission promised on granting the licenses that agree with any Apps, and any device requirement.
Google`s support for Open Access fit into Google`s plans
On the support for the open Access, Google is believed to have issued its plan to the FCC for what they would like to do with the airwaves freed up by upcoming conversation from analog to digital television; as well it`s pretty optimistic. The other contribution is 700 MHz that decided to the fate of license spectrum and they raised $19.95 billion for the federal coffers, but the challenge still is what to do with the space betwixt the digital TV and the channels known as white space.
