Employees are obligated to ensure that they conduct themselves in ways that don’t jeopardize the reputation of their companies. However, with social media, many individuals are challenged on creating a distinction between their personal and work lives. As it mostly happens and as highlighted in the case study, many companies usually opt to dismiss employees whose actions damage their reputation. Nonetheless, it is strongly recommended that employers don’t rush into dismissing its employees and should consider other options. For instance, the company can choose to suspend the three remaining employees. Suspension will not only provide the company with enough time to formulate an effective PR response that will build its image but also allow it to conduct further investigations on the employees (Hja.net, 2016).
