As well, they promote health by providing information that enables the patients to compare the wellbeing of their bodies with the symptoms of different health conditions. Hence, a patient can predict their chances of having a certain condition. The patient-driven adaptive technologies play a major role in involving patients in their health conditions since they can use the models to predict their chances of having a particular condition. Therefore, these technologies encourage patients in their own care since most of them are easy to understand hence enabling the patient to monitor their health. in the case whereby the patients predicted to have a certain condition, then they seek medical attention and enable the medical practitioners to accord them the necessary treatment. This is in contrast to the absence of such technologies since the patients realize most of the conditions when they are in a critical stage and hence, does not promote health (Jiang, Boxwala, El-Kareh, Kim & Ohno-Machado, 2012).
