Burdens of parenting are one of the major challenges facing many nuclear families in their daily lives. It is a situation where one parent is the only provider in the family, and these parents are mostly single mothers. Parenting has become a burden since mothers lack the effort to support a family of more than three in terms of provision of food, education, clothing, and shelter. Parenting burden is brought about by children with some physical handicap who need a special diet or treatment. Others have a mental handicap and have to be looked at, which brings in a lot of work, especially for one parent with low-income levels.
