In any kind of organization or business that is profit oriented, performance is one of the key goals that the business aims to achieve. Therefore, one way of boosting performance is through rewards to employees. However, different organization will chose different ways to reward their employees. Besides, when employees are rewarded they become motivated and work harder in order to attain the goals and objective set by the organization. Therefore, through rewards employees are able to impact on the performance of an organization. This argument is based on the rewards that organizations give to their employees.
Performance- One of the most common ways that a business can use to reward its employees is on the basis of performance. In this context, employees will receive different rewards in terms of their performance to the company. Moreover, these rewards can be classified according to the best performing departments (Cameron & Pierce, 2002). Additionally, performance can be evaluated annually or a time period that a company may feel to do so. For example, the manager in the marketing department can be rewarded as a result of the company recording high sales during the year.
