Restorative justice (RJ) is typically accredited to be a movement that is focused on transforming how justice is incorporated in communities. RJ consists of a two-sided process where wrongdoers and others impacted by crime come together to participate in a conversation categorized by mutual decision-making and respect (Scheuerman, 2018). Rehabilitation in a restorative justice approach plays several roles that help the offenders reintegrate into their respective societies.
