One of the parts of the deficiency model is the purpose statement. Even though the purpose statement is the last stage of the deficiency model, it has some qualities which make it outstanding. One feature of the quality purpose statement is that it should be specific and brief. One of the main reasons why this part should be as brief as possible is because if it is broad, it is likely to be general and obscure, which could make some people miss the intended purpose. The person should therefore limit the purpose statement to one or two sentences. Furthermore, it should be clear. In most instances, the person should strive to remove any vagueness in the purpose statement.
