Nationalism is simply the commitment to an individual’s own nation. It is an idea that unites citizens of a nation that share the same history and culture. The citizens of generally feel a sense of unity that goes beyond class differences. The Unity of a nation is strongest in situations of a common enemy for example when a terror attack happens in the country. In national rhetoric, a nation is usually seen as a fraternity that holds a privileged place in the world.
A nationalist is an individual who is very proud of their country and would be willing to do anything to bring their country up. This type of pride has both positive and negative aspects which impact a nation in a variety of ways. Positive nationalism benefits a country while negative nationalism easily results into chaos in the country and in the world.
